I made a post in vintage_sex of some random actresses in pretty clothes looking saucy. Or just cute with really pretty dresses, as was the case with Billie Burke, taken at the end of the 19th century. One person asked if this was the same Billie Burke that played Glinda in the Wizard of Oz. Sure enough, it looks like it is.

So then another person posts, and says that Billie Burke is her 4th cousin, and had to send this picture to her mother.

Only in LJ land.

I have been amused.

modeled a bit.

Indeed! LJ never ceases to amaze me. And amuse. And yeah, I did some research on her last night after the first post, but I didn't see the Ziegfield part, that's really cool. Which was part of the reason that I found this so amusing, I think. And then there are all those jokes about people walking into vintage sex and finding some relative there.... Wouldn't you know, it had to happen sooner or later. *grin*
