Grad school.
Nov. 14th, 2003 06:07 pmYeah, I"m already thinking about it.... Which is kinda scary, realy. I mean, I just barely decided what I'm actually gettign a bachelors in, and here I'm trying to figure out where to run away to next.... And I think I found one. If tehy are willign to take me. I want them to. So I have to keep my grades as imposisbly high as I did at Albany, or higher, because I really want ehm to realise just how much I want to do this.
It's in England. The University of Southampton offers all sorts of lovely textile conservation MAs, and an MA in the history of textile and dress. No, I'd never want to do that, never.... I must go there. Or soemplace very like it, anyway, preferably not in America, becasue we don't have old enough history here. And interesting enough museums. Or soemthing like that. Yes, I know we have history and good museums, but England has the V&A, and the British museum, and so many others, and they have medieval history there. It happened there. This is a big point in its favour. Especially as I no longer speak French as well as I'd like.
In addition, tonight is the drag ball, which will be enormous quantities of fun. Remy has a new shirt for it, because I finally got around to cutting up and assembling the fabric I bought for him last year. And since I left my red corset in Albany and don't really want to wear the weddign skirt anyway, I'm goign to wear a black corset, and make in the next few hours a blus skirt, from a lovely embroidered piece I got for free when I worked at Alfred's because they didn't knwo if they could sell it. Yay me. And Remy's attempts at tucking are really amusing to watch.... Anyway. I apparently have to sew now. Yay sewing.
