Kingston. Yes, Kingston.... And I think this needs to be cut. So cut it I shall!
[Unknown site tag] It was fun. It envolved much packing, and enough stuff that we actually had to stow some of it on the lower part of the bus.... This is what happens when you try to have an overnight at a house that lacks guest beds and pillows. The sort one pulls off the couch do not, in most cases, apply. And we needed the bedroll thingies, otherwise it was either the cold floor for us. Or something. Anyway. First stupid: I brought my chemise on the bus instead of wearing garb on the way down as would have been simpler because the hem was not finished. So I forgot my thread. We got to Apples' house, and my final project fell in a puddle. Amazingly, it's fine. No damage. I was shocked.

Stockwood was much fun once we got there, found many good things on which to waste money, and got back nicely sunburned. My face is still nice and pale, though, it's just my shoulder. Remy's face is burned though....

Planet Wings has wings that can actually kick my ass. I am so pleased! They hurt me! My lips were burning rather painfully after that. I have found a new destination there.

X Men was neat. Particularly Night Crawler, who should have had more lines, as that was the first time I have ever heard German sound so very very pretty. Especially the Hail Mary. And it was Alan Cummings, what's not to like? His costume was beautiful.... He always plays people with the most extraordinary wardrobes. And Gambit really needs to show up soon. He does. More than just his name on the screen. Magneto got more interesting, by far. Halle Berry still should not be playing Storm. Her voice is nowhere near deep or strong enough for that role.

Previews that looked Neat:
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It just looks neat. Got to see that with Jeremy, and read the comic books. We've been offered the loan of them....
28 Days Later could be promising, or it could really suck. The director did Trainspotting,
The Matrix. It looked pertty. Very, very pretty.
Finding Nemo? It's Pixar, therefore worth investigating.

And then bed. And in the morning I finished the last thing for 2D, and will not ever have to go to that wretched class again. And I got a little snarky about Remy's mom watching him lace up my dress and fidgiting with it when he did so. I hate people touching me. Hate. I was nice though, and said nothing.

Stockwood, part 2. Got there, no Sarah and Dennis. Watched the belly dancing, and one danced with a sword balanced on her head. wow. I wish I could be that good.... Need more lessons. Remy bought a sword, still no Sarah and Dennis. they got there though, and more fun was had. Ran into Kevin which was really awkward the first time, but not so much the second. The blacksmith is awesome, and knows ever so much. And he'll talk about it, if you give him a chance, about anything from the history of silverware to what herbs and minerals give colors to iron, comparing it to alchemy. And it is an art. And he's the one that works at Tux too, and one of his demonstrations there was a really big part of my decision to go into metalworking. I think it was the seed of the whole idea, really. So I think I'm turning into a smithing groupie....

And then home. By way of the parents' house, which envolved much talking, and finally the road. People do *not* get hints, like loading oneself down with the things to be carried to the car. Instead they said you can put that down, you know.... Oh well. Long sleepy ride, and then dinner at the Wolf Road Diner. Very pleasant, very late. And then bed again.

No more 2D! No more American History! No more Native American Indian! Just finals in teh last two, and tomorrow no more Art History and Life Drawing. No more drawing classes! Wheeeee! The portrait of Remy is done, and I have to finish the paper on the Clinton presidency that was due this afternoon. Whatever, she's dropping the lowest grade, as long as they're all in.
