Oct. 2nd, 2003 09:34 pmWe're goign to a six year old's birthday party tomorrow, because he wants us to be there so he can play with us. There is no way to describe how much this pleases me. I asked Elizabeth, his mother, what we should get him, and apparently he wants sharp things and matches. Seriously. We eventually decided on a cloak and matching pouch to go with it, because he wants one of those as well. So we went to MalWart for some fabric, and in the 1.00 pile I found a lovely fairly heavy 60" cotton blend, nice olivey green that will look good on him and in which he'll be able to hide in the woods, and pretend to be any variety of things. Elf, soldier, superhero, whatever. I think this is a fine idea. Fortunately, cloaks are very easy to make, and I can do it in about an hour. Maybe a little more, but not long.
In other news, the rapid change of the seasons form deep summer to deep fall, has played havoc on my health. I am now sick, and will shortly be retiring to bed, as awake has begun to hurt my head. Gar.
