Remy is going to have by far the most hideous clothes at all of Hunters Moon. He will, however, be able to move. It's paisley. Sort of. It's an 1850s geometric paisley, black red and gold, which would be sort of fine, except that it's kind of ugly. In that good way, thouh, and it's mostly done. Except for the sleeve ends and the hem, and putting in the laces, because I'm *not* doing buttons for this one too. Except maybe on the sleeves, because there's no good way to lace them.

And I'm embroidering a favor for him for no really good reason except that I wanted him to have the prettiest and shiniest one ever, and so far it's working. It's very shiny, and rather pretty. And a note. Metallic thread sucks ass to work with, because the shiny bits break off and tangle and make a general mess of it. But it's shiny, so it's forgiven. And even though I"m generally horrible at embroidery, this looks really good, even to me, and I'm picky.

And I started making an 18th century corset for myself, so I can start fitting myself for an 18the century gown. This seems like an admirable idea, for some reason. It's black linen lined in clack twill and interlined with ticking. The bones are exceedingly large cable ties which I hear are almost as good as metal, better than the plastic bones they sell at stores, and really cheap. This last part is important, and I will report on the quality of the support when it's done. So far it doesn't seem to be as good as reeds, though. Those are wonderful in every way.

Upcoming projects. Making garb for those in the house that will be coming to Hunters, and/or those who want it. I need measurements around the largest part of your torsos, be that chest, waist, hips, or other. it will likely require about three yards of 45 inch wide fabric for the tunic, and I would very much appreciate a donation of the same in payment, thus making the whole thing come out to about $20 or so, as decent cotton (not blend) is from 2-3 a yead. I have 6 yards, if anyone wants me to start. But I really should get started on this soon, as it's only a month away. If you want pants it's about the same, maybe a little less. I'm not really sure about measures for that at the moment. Or you can use whatever you've got, some people just wear jogging pants. Unfortunately, I do not have any loaner garb at this point.

And I've still got to do the dress for myself. Another cote style, red coton this time and a little better constructed than the last, having learned from those mistakes. Bah. This time I will be doing buttons as its was impossible to put on the other by myself, being back laced and all.... That was just stupid. And I have to raise the neck on my chemise so it doesn't keep falling off. because that's just indecent. :)

And I have to photograph these things, and put them online so people will see them. I think I will not have stock up for Hunters, but ther's another event in October, for which I will try to have a few things available. and get a few articles finished so I can have them for display for custom work. Yes. I like this plan.
