Botheration....
Nov. 18th, 2002 08:07 amSo this has been my morning so far:
Woke up. That was nice, There was a Remy next to me, and he was all sorts of sweet.
Had a shower. The water wouldn't decide whether to be too hot or too cold. Much like every morning. Never try to take a shower here.
Got dressed, and packed a lunch, and my bag.
Went out to the bus, same time as always. 7.36. And the clock is now faster than it was--6 minutes. I checked.
The bus had already come and gone. It's maybe a two minute walk.
Now, the bus isn't supposed to leave the other end of Troy until 7.35, which had not yet been reached. It was maybe that when I got to the stop. Maybe. It gets to the end where I am around 7.40 or so. And mind you, there is no other good way to bus to a 9am class in Albany from Troy, so I missed my first class, though it has not yet started. I could have taken the 22 and gotten a transfer, but I had no cash. At all. Not even spare change.
So I came home, with a cup of coffee from Brueggers (they take plastic) and the intention to do something useful. Like some cleaning or something, as my next class isn't until 1.30. *sigh*
And promptly noticed that the high water effect was really taking hold here. Every time it rains (as it is presently doing, over the snow from last night, the rain from yesterday, and the snow from the day before that, all of which are being rather wet, and melting all at the same time) This hideous smell rises in the apartment, like raw sewage of various ages and states of decay. Unpleasant. It usually just stays in the back half of the house, but today it was all the way up to the front, and into the computer room, which doesn't usually get any sort of air circulation, and is therefore usually exempt from any such foulness. Not today. I am somewhat less than amused.
I still should clean. But my stomach has been less than well, and I don't know how much longer I can stand to be in this place. It's nauseating. Grr.
