I have all my grades now.... So As in both Medieval art and Lit 2, already knew that. Also an A in Lit 1 (Not surprised. I was getting As all semester, and being generally a good little student. It was the only class I turly enjoyed.) and a B in Seafaring. Which pleases me, I was doing about Bs for most of the semester, because I really could not figure out what he wanted. Eh. I passed, and that was what mattered by the end. I do't think I"ll remember any of the specifics of it though, which is sad. Because it really was fun, and I wanted to learn, but every time I tried to do the readings it was a deluge of information so foreign to me that it made little enough sense. Except the Viking stuff, because I had been exposed to it before.
That is my trick in doing so well in school. I can fake my way through classes because I on'y ever take things I'm either really interested in, or that I already know pretty well. Thus, even if I don't do the readings, I have something to contribute to class discussions that make it look like I did them. Eh, the point of the diploma is to prove that I know things. If I already know them, it's not like tis' cheating. It's just proof. :)
So. Final average is 3.79. I do really well in first semesters. I also made the Dean's list again. This pleases me, as it makes it more likely that I can go to grad school and get a real job playing with old dusty things. Or pretending that I am an old dusty thing? Living history would be my most ideal job, possibly. It means I can go to work in funny old clothes and play with old things for money. Hell, I do that for fun. It's like the best parts of SCA and Rendezvous (that being for me the historical accuracy....), but for money. I like money.
Also, I finished the tunic. If I charge what I intend for them, and put this amount of work into it (which I intend to. It looks better that way, and lasts longer. My dresses are *sturdy*, and I wear them pretty regularly.) I'm making very little for time. I had them marked as three hours, but it's now closer to five, after finishing seams, lining the collar, and doing the capacious hem. But it looks damned fine, and Remy says it's comfortable. He just doesn't want a bog coloured one. Just have to wash it, iron it, and shoot Remy in it. And then post it on ebay. Not going for less than 30 at this point, that was a lot of work.
I really have to fix the Irish gown.... And finish the wool.... And the satin.... And the corset and chemise....Oi.
