So I tried to break my foot on it. Dropped a heavy box of books on it as I took them to the trash. And you know, that really annoys me....Not so much the dropping things on myself or my foot/ankle trying ti break, I'm used to that. Except for the pain. No, it's the tossing of books. When things dont' sell well and we have too many copies, we have to remove the front cover and then throw the stripped books out. The covers get shipped back to the publisher, and it's a horriffic waste. You'd think they could donate them, if they're so cheap as all that. So I went home.

And when I got there, a friend offered to pay me to make her clothing. I have a potential order, thus my lie to get out of working on weekends is not b*quite* so untrue at all. Was going to tell them that I need to be out on the weekends so I can be available to do measurements, with the intention of making it true at some point, or at least working on setting up the website. But they didn't need to know the details. And I do still intend to set up a bit of a cottage industry doing medieval clothes. Hence, the website. And if anyone here wants stuff, then let me know. This is how many tries now? Eh, at least I'm not trying for the storefront things this time. I love computers sometimes....

And now to make cake. Munich Raisin, like my mother used to bake, but not with the right pan. Eh.

as i'm opposed to throwing out books--even REALLY shitty ones--i know what youre talking about. in fact my buddy harry used to work for them and they werent even allowed to take the demo cd's out of magazines before throwing them out. BAD EVIL CORPORATE BOOKSTORE. BOO and HISS at them. but then again who needs copies of poe when "a weekend with the backstreet boys" is available on the next shelf? fucking american wankers...**snarls and wanders off in search of a stiff drink**

Yeah, about that.... Apparent'y we're not allowed to root through the trash, as is our right. Once it's on the trash, they no longer should have any claim on it. This ranks somewhere on the level of McDonalds pouring bleach on the leftover food at the end of the night. It's not for the purpose of killing the bugs, they don't pour that much, just enough to poison it and keep out the homeless people. Don't know if they do that so much here, but in CO, I think it was.... People suck. Corps suck too, and it's about time they all fell....
