Cake *and* death
Jul. 13th, 2003 10:06 pmSo I tried to break my foot on it. Dropped a heavy box of books on it as I took them to the trash. And you know, that really annoys me....Not so much the dropping things on myself or my foot/ankle trying ti break, I'm used to that. Except for the pain. No, it's the tossing of books. When things dont' sell well and we have too many copies, we have to remove the front cover and then throw the stripped books out. The covers get shipped back to the publisher, and it's a horriffic waste. You'd think they could donate them, if they're so cheap as all that. So I went home.
And when I got there, a friend offered to pay me to make her clothing. I have a potential order, thus my lie to get out of working on weekends is not b*quite* so untrue at all. Was going to tell them that I need to be out on the weekends so I can be available to do measurements, with the intention of making it true at some point, or at least working on setting up the website. But they didn't need to know the details. And I do still intend to set up a bit of a cottage industry doing medieval clothes. Hence, the website. And if anyone here wants stuff, then let me know. This is how many tries now? Eh, at least I'm not trying for the storefront things this time. I love computers sometimes....
And now to make cake. Munich Raisin, like my mother used to bake, but not with the right pan. Eh.
