I feel smart!
Dec. 29th, 2002 10:19 pmToday was lovely. Went out with Sarah and Dennis, which we need to do more often. We had dinner at a Chinese buffet, and then went to Borders, and I found a lovely book of Craftsman architecture, and several on Arts and Crafts furniture building. Which would really only be useful if I had tools. I want tools! Sarah and Dennis gave us the most gorgeous chopsticks--jade, I think. Or something like that. Pretty green stone. And Sarah loved the ring we gave her. :)
So then we came home, and I looked at the page where they post all the grades for the classes, not really expecting them to have been posted yet. They were! Yay me! And the semester I was going to write off for skipping so very many classes with Jeremy and Argus (going to Boston, random excursions....)? A in 3D design and Growing up in America (the dreaded hated class) and A- in Logic, Western History, and Photography. Wheee! The photo instructor never gives As unless they're really earned, and truly impressive. And with these grades, I doubt that New Paltz will have any problems with admitting me. My GPA for this semester was 3.82, and the final GPA was 3.62, because I bombed last semester. (I suppose 3.10 isn't all *that* bad, but it was lower than I wanted. Another art instructor that doesn't give As--I got a B+. And did badly in an English class.) I'm so pleased. Next semester's classes look like a lot of fun, too. I'm all smart and stuff! Yay me! Maybe I'll be able to be a real artist after all....
