Thank you! It's actually rather easy if you paint at all, once you get used to the completely different consistency of latex paint. Not at all like oils ... For the rags I just used chopped up t-shirts. They were in a box marked "painters' rags", but when I opened it, sure enough, it was scraps of white cotton t-shirts, some even with collars and hems on them. So yeah.
