Pointlessness.
Dec. 23rd, 2003 05:55 pmSometime soon there will be a fresh new T-tunic on ebay, in a rather...erm...interesting shade of olive. It will have to be washed to shrink it a little before I post it, and ironed, but it should look quite nice when done. The satin dress progresses slowly, because I decided to hand finish all the seams. And being a 10 gore style, that's a lot of seams. It looks nice though, and will be a lovely underdress should I ever make anything to go over it. And Remy should be working on the website soon, as well. Because I gave him quite a bit of text for it, just need some photos now. Mmm. Photos. What should I put in it though? That's always the problem with these things, I never think my work is good enough to shoot. I know it is, technically, but most of the dresses I have are experimental, and full of flaws that I don't really want to show people. Liek where I put the seams, given that I changed that in the second draft, most of which have not yet been made. Grr. So maybe the green dress, if I don't show the seams too closely, and the chemise of course, and I need to put the satin one up when it's done. Remy's red cote, since he's all skinny now, but not showing that the sleeves are totally off, and the paisley one. But that won't be generally offered except for people who can come in for extensive fittings. Because it's a pain in the arse to make it fit right. And the Italian dress, when I make the other sleeves for it, but again that won't be generally offered. Also a pain to draft.
It takes me longer than I had thought to make a tunic. I had thought maybe two hours, but it's more than that, more like three. Feh.
Also, I got back two of the four grades for this semester, for Lit 2 and Medieval Art. Both are as, so I currently have a 4.0. This will not last through the Seafaring grades, but perhaps through Lit 1, so it should end up being another dean's list semester. Yay me. Grades should be in fairly soon, and then I can stop worrying so much. These are, of course, the two exams I was most worried about.
