Yeah, lots of quizzes of late. Deal. I am amused, and that's all that matters to me. :)

Had a final today in my Lit 1 class, and got back my last paper. I got an A on it. I was expecting slightly lower than that because I did write the bloody thing with a fever. When I was writing, anyway, and not staring blankly at the screen. Or IMing people. I think the test went quite well, but we shall soon see. Some people did not show up, I know at least one of them was a woman who lives on a mountain and uses a cane, so I sispect she simply couldn't get down the mountain without severe difficulty, and I cna't say that I blame her. I do not live on a mountain, I live in (nominally) a city, and parts of that were still a little hairy.

When we were up at my grandmother's for Turkeyfest, Remy shot some photos of two daguerrotypes in the guest room, after I had dusted them off a bit and cleaned out some things from behind the glass. They are of my three-greats grandparents, and there was some rather amusing pink tint on lips and cheeks that looks a bit sill y on people so stiff as them. Soon, I shall start working on restoration. Only practice, and only digital, but sooner or later I may post them. There are some tiny spots on the pictures where I think they might have corroded or something. But they are really pretty, and so are the frames. It's actually a single unit, hinged in the middle and with a little clasp. And then I found a site that has directions for making your own daguerros. I want to try that. It would be ever so much fun....
