(no subject)

So. Today has been interesting.... I managed not to be overly hostile, which is, for this week anyway, an accomplishment. It's been hideously bad, starting Monday--Sunday really. I saw something that I took to be an omen of ill fortune, possibly death, but certainly badness, and ever since the week has sucked. Tuesday was bad, and I ranted about the stupidity of the SUNY sheep population and how dearly I wanted to plow through them when they blocked my way and made me late to class. I met a random occulty bit on the bus home from work, and we might try to get together this weekend to talk about things that don't really go well in a bus, especially when you can barely hear the other person over the din. So that was interesting-good. And last night was pleasant. Today wasn't even all that hideous, the instructor in my figure drawing class said mine was good, and hadn't too many suggestions. Yay me, I guess.

So then I went to check my email. And found out that a friend's father died recently. I had known him as well, and he was much fun to hang out with, and he told some wonderfully bad jokes. As if that weren't bad enough, her mother died not even a year ago. Another good person, of course. When I lived in Colorado, she was sort of a mother to me, as I still wasn't speaking to my own then. So we were over at their house fairly regularly, and got to be rather close to all of them. Odd, I was just thinking about him last night, saying that when we go back to Colorado and find my long ago people Remy should meet him....
