My god it's finally over!
Dec. 26th, 2002 04:53 pmYay! No more holidays for a while! This one was, as my mother put it, the Christmas that...was. There was snow. It was white, and wet, and cold. We were in a car. It was hot in the car, because it was the only thing that kept the window reasonably clear. And then the dinner was cancelled anyway. So we were almost stuck in Galway, which would have sucked. A lot. I don't really want to be in Galway. Remy got to see the inside of my mother's house, which is to say he is the first sigoth to be allowed to do so. Ever. It wasn't too horribly scary, just full of stuff, and dimly lit. We opened the presents in a rush at my brother's apartment, at which my mother was aghast. So we went home, cold, and hungry, and damp from cleaning off the car and tromping through snow that came up to our knees. Home was nice, though I got into a fight with my brother over IM about him being a nazi, and how sick I am of this. I keep trying to defend him as a human being to the rest of the world that insists on hating him for his image, but then does everything possible to prove me wrong. He utterly lacks compassion. I know this isn't entirely true, given the way he'll take in any stray that looks like it needs love, adn generally treats them well. Or at least tries to. Geh. I don't know anymore.
But I got cool stuff! And so did Remy! We both got toys, lots and lots of toys, like we were 5 again or something. And my mother gave him the notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci, which I will be using as well. Yay for stuff. My mum gave me all this stuff that smells like lavendar.... I wish I had a bathtub. :( Oh well.
The shirt I made turned out really well. I may get around to posting a shot of it, just to show off. Because I can.
