I had my last final today! The semester is over! wheeeee! And I got my last paper back from the wretched English class, I got an A--. What the hell is an A--? I presume it's lower than A-, but higher than B+, but whatever. She said I was optimistic, and she didn't share that, but did agree that the world has come a long way since the 60s. Which is true. And then I went off in one of the final essays about how useful it is to speak up, and how dangerous to keep silent.... It was supposed to be about the books we read, but it sounded more like a rant that I threw books into at the last moment because I was told I had to. Which was more or less the case.

And then Argus and Kelly and I went to Uncommon Grounds and she gave us presents. Kelly rocks and rocks. I now have a paper copy of Get Your War On, which I also have bookmarked on my computer. And a very nice lotion, and olive oil soap.... No more dried up Cate! I hate winter for that.... The dry just hurts. And we had bagels and coffee, and I decided to be bad and got us a slice of Neopolitan cheesecakeish stuff, which we all shared. It was muchly yummy. Oh yes! She also gave me some Spanish tea that had a naked lady on it. :) And chocolate. See? Kelly is awesome.

I tried to help Argus with decoding some Sumerian mathematics. I don't think I was much help at all, but I tried.... Remy would more than likely have been better at this that I was, but he was/is at work, and the paper's due at 5. All the same, I left him with some hypotheses and guessing I had come up with, for what that was worth.

The bus ride home was marked by only one interesting thing. We were stopped at the train crossing, and I counted the cars. 49, and two engines. heh.

Still no word on the packages. I emailed both the companies I ordered from, and one of them got back to me (the less expensive, and more important, of the two) and said was there any way I could go to 123 2nd st and get teh package since it was delivered there, and a trace would take weeks. But I tried that. I didn't wait a full week or anything, but whatever. I don't feel like waiting any longer. The photo company has said nothing so far. Maybe I'll try telephoning them tomorrow....

Going back to work on Remy's present now.... I *really* hope this turns out OK. It probably will. I'm just not used to this kind of fabric, or putting it through my machine.
